The CSB+SJU Washington, D.C. Alum Chapter is pleased to invite you on Friday, June 6th at 12:00PM ET to its inaugural launch of the virtual “Industry Leaders Series”, featuring Washington, D.C. industry leader Jen Kroll ’10, Executive Vice President of J. Wilson Advisors, a leading specialized communication firm in Washington, D.C. Kroll ’10 will be interviewed by Kara Kolomitz, CSB+SJU Chief Operating Officer. The 20-minute Fireside Chat will focus on Kroll’s journey from CSB+SJU to Washington, D.C., her professional industry leadership, and advice for starting a career in strategic communications and marketing. The Fireside Chat will be followed by 20-minutes of Audience Q&A to foster dialogue and connection with the industry leader.
Launched in 2025, the quarterly virtual “Industry Leaders Series” serves as a lunch-and-learn fireside-chat discussion, networking, and professional development platform for the Bennie and Johnnie community to engage with mid-career alums in our nation’s capital region advancing leadership in their professional industries and personal communities. This series seeks to promote the professional and personal impact and journeys of D.C.-metro area Johnnie and Bennie alums in their industry and communities, foster more intimate connection between Johnnies and Bennies of all industries and career levels in our nation’s capital region, and better highlight the power and diversity of the Johnnie and Bennie community for current/prospective CSB+SJU students and young alums who are interested in the industry or a career in Washington, D.C.
Jen Kroll ’10 | Executive Vice President at J. Wilson Advisors
Jennifer Kroll is Executive Vice President at J. Wilson Advisors, a Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications firm specializing in reputation management, brand positioning, crisis response, and integrated marketing. With 15 years of experience, Jennifer has led high-impact campaigns across sectors including healthcare, aerospace, cybersecurity, real estate, consumer products, energy, and technology.
At J. Wilson Advisors, Jennifer guides clients through complex communications challenges, helping them define their narratives, elevate their brands, and navigate reputational risks.
Previously, Jennifer was Vice President at LEVICK, where she led strategic campaigns for clients across various industries. Earlier in her career, she served as Communications Director for Jubilee USA Network, where she managed communications and policy related to international economics and helped turn the organization into a trusted player on world financial issues.
Jennifer holds a degree in Political Science and German from the College of Saint Benedict. She currently resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband Chase, three children, and two dogs.
Kara Kolomitz | CSB+SJU Chief Operations Officer
Kara Kolomitz is a seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience in Catholic higher education and a deep commitment to creating transformative college experiences. She joined the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in February 2023 as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer, a role established as part of Strong Integration. Since her arrival, she has played a central role in the launch of the institutions’ new strategic plan, strategic enrollment plan, and facilities master plan.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Kolomitz served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Regis College, a Catholic institution outside of Boston. During her tenure, she produced the largest undergraduate classes in the college’s history, launched graduate programs that significantly expanded enrollment, and led both strategic and facilities master planning efforts. She began her career in higher education as a Dean of Students and was honored with the Scott Goodnight Award for outstanding service to the profession. She also brings experience in Division I athletics from her time at Providence College and was part of the executive leadership team that earned Regis recognition as one of the Boston Globe Magazine’s Top 100 Women-Led Businesses for three consecutive years.
Dr. Kolomitz holds a doctorate in educational leadership and has demonstrated a long-standing dedication to women’s education. At Regis, she preserved key components of the women’s college experience following the institution’s transition to coeducation. She is a graduate of the HERS Institute and represents the College of Saint Benedict as a member of the Women’s College Coalition. Her leadership continues to shape the future of CSB and SJU with vision, energy, and purpose.
